Bora and Upa are protectors of Karin Temple from the Evil Red Ribbon Army Saga, with Bora the dad and Upa the son, which is disrupted when the Red Ribbon comes and Bora is killed there by Tao Pai Pai. Goku gets revenge by "killing" him and then wishes Bora back. Upa is very grateful for Goku's help and stays with dad.
Helping Goku in the Urani no Ba Ba match ups, Upa fought on with him to save his father from his death. After finding all the Dragon Balls, Bora, is wished back to life. (Book Nine . Chapter Ninety-Nine)
Upa has grown up since last seen and is finally seen giving energy to Goku's Super Genki Dama. Him with his father help contribute to put an end to the most powerful force in the universe. (Book Forty Two . Chapter Five Hundred and Fifteen)
Bora is the big Indian protecting the Seichi Karin holy grounds, and is the father of Upa.
